The buzz from those first demos had barely faded when OpenAI launched “Sora 2,” an app version that put this incredible power into the hands of more creators. And that’s when the magic stopped feeling like a parlor trick and started looking like a five-alarm fire. In a matter of days, the internet was awash in viral clips. This isn’t a technical problem anymore; it’s a trust problem. Hollywood’s agents and lawyers now see OpenAI as a company that will “mislead” them, launch a product it can’t control, and only apologize when caught red-handed.

The question that will define the next decade of media is whether Hollywood accepts.
